Baked Chicken with Gravy

This is literally one of the easiest recipes you’ll ever make, and it’s full of flavor. My husband and children devour this chicken, and it’s a favorite around our home.


1 whole chicken
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 envelope of onion soup mix
Tony Chachere’s Seasoning
garlic powder


Rinse chicken with water and remove inner parts. Pat dry. Season well with Tony’s and garlic powder. Make sure you get your hands dirty by massaging the seasoning into the chicken! Place in small oval roasting pan. Mix mushroom soup and onion soup mix together in a small bowl. Pour mixture on top of chicken. Cover with lid. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Skim fat off of gravy. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes. Serves 6.
