GEMS is a ministry geared to young married women and mothers who desire an intimate walk with the Lord as they learn and apply the biblical principles found in Titus 2. The acronym GEMS symbolizes Glorifying, Encouraging, Mentoring, and Serving, which beautifully portrays the Titus 2 woman.
The GEMS Ministry meets once per month for three hours. This enables the women attending to feast upon the Word of God, digest what they learn, and create a plan of action to pursue in the upcoming month.
The first hour of each GEMS session focuses on fellowship, the second hour is spent unpacking biblical qualities that exemplify a Titus 2 young woman, and the third hour involves practically applying the scriptural principles learned through creative methods such as crafts, letter writing, role-play, and discussion.
Two other vital components of the GEMS Ministry are accountability and mentoring. All GEMS receive an accountability partner who encourages them throughout the month and a mentor who helps with individualized needs. These components encourage unity in the body as women are grafted into godliness.
The mission of the GEMS Ministry is to set women free from the bondage of society’s view of womanhood so they will experience the purpose, peace, and fulfillment found in God’s design for their lives.
The vision of the GEMS Ministry is to reach millions of women willing to be polished into beautiful GEMS who glorify the Lord with their lives, encourage one another through accountability, mentor and be mentored, and serve their husbands, children, and church sacrificially.
